WE ARE Conquerors over Satan’s Attack

CONQUERING THE ENEMY OF WHOLENESS

THE TRUE STATE OF WHOLENESS

The true state of wholeness begins when we develop a relationship with God.  Psalm 23:1 declares that the Lord, Who is our Shepherd, provides for ALL of our needs.  When Jesus becomes our Shepherd, He leads and guides, protects and corrects, heals and fills, provides and destroys.  There is nothing missing from our lives neither is there anything broken IN our lives.  We are complete in Jesus because He takes residence on the inside of us!

JOHN 5:1-8 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.  For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.  When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time [in that case], he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

Our scripture text today finds us at the pool of Bethesda, where a great multitude of impotent folk gathered, waiting for the movement of the water, for an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water and whoever was first in the pool after the troubling of the water was made whole of whatever disease he had.

There are several key words highlighted in these scriptures that revolve around the issue of time: At a certain season an angel came down and troubled the water.  Certain implies that this has proven to be true . The Greek word for season is Kairos which implies “that which time gives an opportunity to do.”

These impotent folk came from great distances and camped out on porches day in and day out waiting and watching.  They wanted to be healed.  But year in and year out their blessing was deferred because of  the limitation of the current season which relied on precise timing.  Their  hope was not built on the right foundation.

The problem with this current move of the certain season is that it was conditional.  These impotent folk were kept waiting for the opportune time within a certain season. This certain season was just another form of impotency.  These people were lacking in power to help themselves, therefore, they surrendered what little power they had left to the current move and  did nothing but wait

What these impotent folk failed to realize was that the Kingdom of God was at hand in the person of Jesus Christ.  Jesus ushered in a new move that was not bound by time, seasons, or man’s ability or disability.  Jesus set a new pattern.  He revealed that the key to our deliverance is inside our will. Do you want to be made whole?  If the answer is yes, then proceed on.

WILL THOU BE MADE WHOLE?

John 5:8  Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

*           Your next move of God is resident inside of you right now.  Take your power back from whatever is hindering you.  Conquer the enemy of impotency.  There were 3 key things the man had to do: 1) RISE.  2) TAKE UP HIS BED, and 3) WALK

1)                  RISE:  If the posture you are currently in has you stuck, STAND UP. Whatever you are doing right now, do something different.  Take it to the next level. This “certain” man stated that he “didn’t have a man” to help him.  Too often we delay our blessing because of what we do not have.  We don’t have this and we don’t have that.  Jesus demonstrated that he didn’t need a man. Could it be, my brothers and sisters that what you don’t have, you don’t  need.  Your blessing is not based on what you DO NOT have.

*           Some will make it because of help from others.  Others will make it with Jesus alone!

2)                  TAKE UP YOUR BED.  Take authority over what has held you bound.  Carry what has carried you.  Identify what has blocked your progress. Confront and take authority over everything that has bought about a case of impotency!

*           We have power over the enemy and legal authority in the earth.  Our authority encompasses dominion which means to dominate.  Dominion is transferred from God to man, from heaven to earth and from the seen to the unseen.

3)                  WALK.  Walk out of old habits.  Walk out of old mindsets.  Walk out of negative relationships.  Walk out of depression, oppression, poverty.  Move from your present location.

Today beloved, Jesus is asking you, do you want to be made whole from your infirmity?  If the answer is yes, then RISE UP off of the bed of disappointment and discouragement.  RISE UP off of your bed of “don’t have and can’t do.”  TAKE authority of that which immobilizes you.  Take your destiny out of the hands of man.  Don’t wait for someone to care enough about you to help you.  RISE, TAKE responsibility for your own destiny and WALK in your wealthy place.

*           Don’t let what you lack hold you back from the will of God any longer.  IF YOU DON’T HAVE IT, YOU DON’T NEED IT.  You have every thing you need inside of you NOW.  Rebuke the enemy of wholeness.  Rise, take up your bed and WALK into the will of God and LIVE AGAIN!
