POEMS ON THE THEME OF: "THE ENDLESS PATH"
BY VARIOUS POETS

              THE ENDLESS PATH...

So shall ye pass

To clearer heights and find

Easier assents and lighter loads

Of Sins…and a larger will

To burst bounds of sense…

On enteringThe Path…

         Anon.

I look ahead to goals…no more

Towards the sea…the river flowed

As alone I walk the endless path…

         Ajinkya Mate

A man in a field

Stops work to point the way…

With a radish

In this world

We walk on the roof of Hell…

Gazing at flowers

In these latter-days

Degenerate Times…every-where

Cherry blossoms

Don’t know about the

People…but all scarecrows

Are crooked…

         Kobayashi Issa

Ill on a journey

My dreams wander over…

A withered moor

At the journey’s end

Amazingly still alive…

This Autumn evening…

         Matsuo Basho

The plants and flowers

I raised about my hut

I now surrender to…

The will of the wind

All and every-day

I wait but you do not appear…

Have you forgotten me

Or lost The Path…

        Ryokan Taigu

The shining sun in my heart

The flowers that smile with me…

How verdant green is…all that grows

How soothing the wind that blows…

Every step step is a prayer…making

The Endless Path a joy…

         Thich Nhat-Hanh

DON QUIXOTE'S ENLESS PATH

Into the world he leapt

While others soundly slept

Boldly to the foe he went

With orders…heavenly sent.

And in blind pursuit did go

Crying loudly no, no…no!

When called on to refrain

By the cowards with no shame.

Unable to flee or turn back

Onwardly went without slack

Showing a brave face to all

Unaware what was to befall.

A future…so insecure

Though eventful…to be sure

To the mirage forever drawn

With spirit severely worn.

With the passing of each day

To the elements did pray…

To be free from bondage born.

While to truth and piety drawn…

         PHM

             Lifted from despair

            And melancholy by the…

            Vagrant’s soothing song

           Just chasing rainbows

           That’s what this artist’s doing…

           Amidst the Mayhem

                     PHM

This is not The End...here is a marker to show The Way...
