If you're feeling blue, learn how you can conquer those feelings with the natural chemistry in your body and start jumping for joy.
Everyone is born with happiness chemicals. Over time, these happiness chemicals of Serotonin and Dopamine can become compromised. Scientific data has been gathered and analyzed to discover the science behind happiness, one of which is JumpING for Joy. What is JumpING for Joy and how can we starting JumpING into a happier life? The chemistry behind our happiness is associated with the amount of Phenylethylamine in our system. Phenylethylamine is a type of endorphin, which affects our central nervous system and also gives us a sense of well-being. Phenylethylamine helps to initiate the release of Dopamine and Oxytocin. These chemicals trigger a euphoric feeling, while Phenylethylamine triggers the feelING of excitement, being giddy and excessive happiness.
So how can you reproduce the happiness chemicals back into your life? Research shows that exercise helps secret endorphins. Here is a small list of fun activities that will help release the chemical cocktail of happiness you are looking for.
JumpING is one way to exercise. JumpING for Joy will help release those endorphins and a chemical called Norepinephrine. Norepinephrine flows from your brain into your bloodstream, stimulating the production of adrenaline, which gives you energy. People who have energy tend to be happier.
DancING in your living room to your favorite music will help bring a smile to your face and releases endorphins into your body.
CookING helps to bring a sense of a homey atmosphere, which may in turn bring a sense of contentment.
LaughING. LaughING has been proven to be healthy for the heart and releases a happy cocktail into your brain. Rent your favorite movie, watch a great comedian or call up a friend that you share a great laughing history with. Do you remember the saying, “Laughter is the best medicine?” It turns out its true !
SmilING randomly at a neighbor or stranger, may invoke a smile back. When someone smiles at you, it will help with your level of chemical happiness. A smile is really a contagious thing and brings joy to others around you and in turn can turn your world around and it’s free!
