Believers need to remember that Jesus has the ear of the Father and is always making intercession on their behalf.

                   “I Have Prayed For You”

These are the words that Jesus spoke to Peter after the Last Supper in Luke 22:32, And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Believers, put yourself in the place of Peter. The word tells us that the accuser of the brethren, (Rev. 12:10), “the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” (John 10:10). The enemy is seeking to separate you from the purpose of God. He is determined to steal and destroy that which is useful and valuable in you, what God has placed for His divine plan. The enemy has set strategic schemes and snares. But rest assured that God is in control.

As you read Luke 22:32, place yourself there, regardless of the time period, knowing that Jesus was praying for you even then over 2000 years ago. When He entered into the Garden to pray, He did not fall asleep as His disciples did. He carried the weight and the “agony and prayed the more earnestly.” (Luke 22:44).  While He was hanging on the cross, the nails piercing his flesh, the drops of blood running down over the wood, Jesus prayed for you. “Father forgive them; for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34). He is our high priest, “who is even at the right hand of God who also maketh intercession for us.” (Romans 8:34). When you read this, know that it is an eternal word. “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the word of our God shall stand forever.” (Isaiah 40:18). His prayers are continual for you today and eternal for your tomorrow.

Believers, we need to know and understand that Jesus has the ear of the Father. He is constantly speaking on our behalf. He is saying “this is one of yours, whose name is in the Lambs’ Book of Life, who you have marked and sealed until the day of redemption.” But when it gets tough, he will not only carry you, but also stand up for you as He did for Stephen. (Acts 7:55). When He stands for you, every knee will bow, everything of the enemy will bend and break, because Jesus is Lord. The word says that “thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also, believe and tremble.” (James 2:19). Why is that? Because He defeated them with his death, burial and resurrection, having authority and possessing they keys of hell and death. (Rev. 1:18).

For those of you on the road to salvation, or even have a thought of giving your life to Jesus, He is praying for you right now. He is praying that you realize the depth of his Father’s love and sacrifice for you. He is praying for you right where you are, despite the situation you may be in. Don’t worry about what others may feel or think. Just focus on Him. He knows and sees. Most of all, He loves you. Even the angels wonder “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man that thou visitest him?” (Psalm 8:4). His mind is full of thoughts about you. He would have none of His children, His creation, made in His image to be lost. God has been waiting for you for a long time. Think on this. “ The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17).
