Watching a nation going... going... gone

I've got to let loose or bust! I can't take it any longer. This country is so dense in its thinking that it's amazing we are still viable!

Everyone blames everyone and no one blames themselves, nor does anyone look for the cause of who should really be taken to task for the way our populace has deteriorated.

Be surprised where I place the lions share of the responsibility for our nations dilemma! When you see the statistics it's hard to believe that a whopping 77 % percent of the people are Christian which leaves 23 % percent for all others including atheists! So I ask you if we still rule by majority, how is the minority able to set the agenda in this country? How did they get the upper hand in our schools, homes, work- places and even our churches?

I'll tell you! The disparate groups of Christians unwilling to become united even for the sake of the God they say they follow, or their children and families. Even for the good of the community! They are united in one thing and that is they must share the blame for what they have allowed to happen in this country!

While they keep their petty differences grasped to their ashen souls like the miser scrooge, and refuse to enter into society even to save it. They sit in their glorified churches concerned only with themselves. Christians are the most  biased people on the planet when it comes to sharing themselves.

They love to gather in their church to worship Jesus while they snipe and gossip over who has the best gifts, who can sing best who makes the best dishes for the pot lucks. Most of their time is spent reviewing what trips each special group is taking, who is in charge of the ice cream social, how to tithe  and give more time to the ministry. Oh yes if they get a chance they sing and pray to Jesus, and listen to the pastor tell them how to follow Jesus and be  good Christians, as he expounds the Bible.

While the world is going to hell and the other thirty percent of the people are out in society making themselves heard, getting laws passed to keep God
out of everything, marching for their rights, dumbing down our schools, allowing children to have abortions without having to tell their parents, allowing pedophiles and sex offenders to go free, and the list goes on, while Christians sit in their churches "The Silent Majority" Your damn right they're silent!

Silent, while over a million illegal aliens can gather in our streets to make their demands known! While over a million men, blacks under Farrakan, can make their demands known! While millions like, Cindy Sheehan   the ACLU, PFAW,(People for the American Way) can make their protests against war and their intention to bring down our president whom they hate and revile continuosly, with only a peep from the silent majority! Usually only the Catholics protest.

I'm a christian, and I too have been silent , because I don't wish to offend anyone. Yet I'm offended daily by the rest of the world who can do just about anything  they want and protest whatever pleases them without any bad press. In fact most of the press lauds them! Just about anything goes in this society today except Christianity!

So do I blame the rest of the press and the minority that rules right now? I used to, until I realized the fault lies with the majority not the minority!

That's right the silent majority which is comprised mostly of Christians is to blame. Their choice to stay to themselves and not get into the world. What a shame, that they never realized that scripture did not mean we should become isolated from others.

Christians have a habit of ministering only to each other. They close themselves off from the rest, except
when they are new and try to "save" everyone they meet.  I feel so terribly sorry for the majority of christians who don't really know Christ. They only know their perception of who He is.

There are many Christains who do not fall into the category I have written of here, but they too are guilty as am I, for allowing the trend to continue while looking the other way as most churches are filled with smug self-satisfied people who think they have it all down pat! God forgive us all.

Do they ever stop to wonder how Christ would behave in their church? Would He come here and ignore the same people Christians do? Would He shut himself away from all others and only stay with Christians?

I believe the "Christian churches" (excluding the "Body of Christ") are the lukewarm churches Jesus spoke of in the bible when he mentioned the seven churches as an example. Christians who think they are the chosen may get a big surprise when Christ spews them out of his mouth as he said he would, for apathy is anethma to Him and Creator!

Since Christians love to quote Scripture, remember:

Matthew 7:22-23 "Many will say to me in that day Lord Lord, Have  we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in your name?   And then I will declare to them,' I never knew you, depart from me you evildoers."

What's the biggest problem in America? The silent majority, comprised of Christians who are allowing this nation to become a godless third world country!

Note:This has nothing to do with the political parties or the president now in office. This is about many many years of Christians blinding themselves to what they are supposed to stand for and retreating from the culture they have allowed to become what it is!

Dear Eileen, It is the most tenacious article, which says things as they are. I admire you for your courage. I came to the United State as I believed in the country of hope without wanting to change its culture, its nature, and its religions, in one word, the way it was, speaking English. I feel today as you feel. Americans, as I knew them, were our savior soldiers who came to save us, the French, starting with the French North Africa. I can see today the minority that you are talking about, trying to change America into the Islam, into a Spanish country, and many others in the name of freedom and our constitution which we love and respect. Continue in your endeavor. Happy New Year, Emile

All valid points. Good rant, Eileen. We have become a nation of politically correct sheep. Change comes from within, but how do you point out rungs in a ladder to those who haven't a clue there is a ladder? The reason for my bullshit blog. As always, I love to hear your thoughts. You have wisdom.

I do know more than bid thee a job well done.
Not many have the boldness and courage to state what is felt in truth.
I hope many would read this ... for even though we live in that time of the end our part is still to be played out in this most archaic drama.
"For in that day, every knee will bow and every tongue confess." This will happen only as Chrisians " ... go into all the world." With the boldness and obedience of Paul of Tarsus.

Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you."

I have to agree with Ch'erie on this one. The endtimes are upon us. It is only Jesus who can put things right. Things are as they should be...it is up to us Christians to do our part--keep His commandments until He comes.

It is merely scripture being fulfilled Eileen, the book of Matthew speaks of the endtimes, so nothing that happens in this world is a surprize to me, it's right on cue, as Jesus said it would be.
We cant stop HIS return, why would we want to, what do we really want with this planet and this wiff of a life we have here in comparision to eternity.
We are here to go through trials, to decide. It is horrible what must transpire before it's all over, and it will get worse yet, so we need a relationship with HIM like never before, or we will be spewed out of HIS mouth, for sure.
TY Eileen.

This article has shown the picture of our apathy, omission and tolerance to the violators of our Constitution, (USA) and the builders of concentration camp and slaveyeards. It gave us the cause. Eileen, a thought-provoking article...Had I not read the word Christians, I'd think your were talking about us, the day’s good Muslims!

The "good Muslims" of Islam, much like their Christian brethren are also sitting on their hands and giving the criminals and the greedy bogus Muslims and warlords a license to wreck havoc and mayhem in our societies. I could go on and on about this but I don’t want to write another article here…Congratulations for speaking out!

I thank Andre for drawing my attention to this,

Eileen, perhaps this is intruding on a private conversation, but hopefully our friendship will support it. I would just like to offer one point for consideration: Ethics, whether taught under theist or secular auspices, is similarly effective in producing decent citizens. A world full of decent citizens would not lead to the type of complaints you level at our world, whether the people were Christians or not.
Best regards,
Leland

Amen- Amen- Amen! You know I agree with you, whole heartedly, Eileen. Thank you for speaking out. It gets lonely out there when it seems your the only one telling the church to wake up, before God spews them out of His mouth. Keep writing these writes. The more they hear, the better the chance that they'll listen. Art

When you decide to speak up, you bellow, and that is a good thing. Each and every point you made in this riveting piece of writing is one hundred percent correct. There are many sub-reason why things have come to this point in our history. Apathy on the church and its parishioners is, of course, an overriding truth. I have found that "religion" is not at all bashful about going to Africa, or New Guinea(sp), or anywhere else in the world to spread their own particular brand of gospel . .. But here in the good old USofA they, we, them, us, have been slack in the extreme. It can be traced back to one particular time in our history, the sixties, and all that turbulent time brought with it. The glorious hippies worship gurus of every kind, from everywhere else in the world, except Christians.

There is another reason that this has happened to us. The Press. There has been a steady drum beat of negativity when it comes to anything religious, and for the most part it has gone unanswered. But you are correct, the churches of this country have bought into the "fairness" and all of the liberal gobbledygook that goes with it. Take the huge cross in San Diego they want to take done. The churches are afraid to complain, it is up to the mayor and other people with the cajones to fight the charge of religion in government b.s. The boy scouts, God bless them, they at least are still fighting to keep known pedophiles from becoming scoutmasters. Oh, I could go on and on, Eileen, and I shall, all this is going to come out in my book, that is a natural given. You did good here.
