An assembly of relevant reasonings to consider in daily choices.

                                   Action destroys anxiety.

Ahead scores while following shares disappointment.

Be someone who makes you happy.

Before blows down the door as after lingers in reminiscence.

                                   Bold living overshadows timid existence.

                                   Custom supports confidence.

                                   Dedication transforms malaise.

                            Enthusiasm offsets lack of endowment.

                                   Faith relieves apprehension.

Faithful allegiance outlasts a cheating nature.

Forget what hurt you but not what it taught you.

Formerly what rose strong afterward lays weak.

Give but don't allow yourself to be used.

Grace elevates the soul as dishonor begets shame.

Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.

Happiness is a way of traveling, not a destination.

Hate should not be confused with jealousy.

Hearts are often broken by words unspoken.

Heretofore plans and schemes as succeeding reviews and assesses.

Honesty enriches friendships as deceit destroys relationships.

Industry supports success while inactivity fosters defeat.

Joy and love outweigh sadness and animosity.

                                    Knowledge instills self-assurance.

Listen to others but don't lose your own voice.

Love but don't permit your heart to be abused.

Loyalty sets up promotion as betrayal leads to exposure.

Morality promotes reward while sin manifests regret.

Neighborliness lends comfort as isolation promotes loneliness.

Nothing can be and not be.

                                     Open-mindedness defeats discrimination.

                                     Perseverance outranks talent.

                                     Preparation destroys fright.

Prior dominates, leaving subsequent awash in memory.

                                     Quality surpasses quantity.

Reality positions success as daydreaming squanders time.

                                     Sincerity surpasses manufactured flattery.

Single is better than a wrong relationship.

Strength comes from overcoming what you thought you couldn't.

Survival and reproduction:  The prime motivators in life.

                                     Tenacity overrides dispassion.

Time flies, and you're the pilot.

                                      Trust but don't be naive.

When nothing goes right, go left.
Prime Directive:
"What I focus upon becomes reality.
I have the power to choose."

Richard, I've always been a "list lover" and your "Relevance" is a wonderful list of sayings and expressions that can certainly support positive living. I really related to some of them, especially:

Knowledge instills self-assurance.
Listen to others but don't lose your own voice.
Love but don't permit your heart to be abused.

This is a new type of writing for you, and definitely an interesting read; however, I've learned that you love to explore and try new types of writing as apparent in your song writing. I like "Relevance" and each of those sayings are food for thought and maybe poems could grow out of them, too.

Thisis so inspiring--rules to live by. I'd love to copy/paste it and read it often when I'm feeling overwhelmed.

Thanks for sharing these words of wisdom.

All the best!
