Andy Rooney Said What?

Bless his heart!  He’s good and doesn’t pull any punches.  There are times, however, he has made me angry, but I have found that when they are still rolling the credits, what Andy said made perfect sense and I kept mentally hitting my forehead while I thought, “Why didn’t ‘I’ think of that?”  I definitely had a headache before the next program started!

Two Sundays ago, I almost stood and cheered as he was coming to the end of his portion of “60 Minutes.”  He said something to the effect that he wished our President would pronounce words such as nuclear correctly.  But Mr. Bush continues to pronounce that word “nuke-you-ler” and no one has corrected him; unless they have tried and he has decided he is gonna damn well do what he wants regardless what “the people” think.  Andy, if you have the time and someone sends this to you, enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy watching you on your segment of “60 Minutes.”  NOTE:  None of the above is to be construed as direct quotes from CBS’ Andy Rooney on “60 Minutes.”

I even sent Bush an email over a year ago about him constantly pronouncing the word “nuke-you-ler.”  Of course, there was no response from the Whitehouse and I didn’t expect one.  And, I cannot believe that the President’s writer put the word on paper and spelled it nukeyouler.  If she/he did, the President needs a new speech writer.
