Local Poet Publishes Personal Catharsis

A little attention locally can go a long way.....

Ironton, Missouri, The Mountain Echo, Wednesday, June 20, 2007---
George E Thompson was born here in 1944 and moved around the state with his minister father and loving mother until they finally settled in Fulton, MO.   Mr. Thompson has published his first book, Experience, Strength and Hope and returned to live in Ironton at age 62.
His book represents a sharing of insight on this method of self-improvement.  Thompson was inspired to write his poems by his experiences of suffering, loss and shame, and writing ultimately channeled his catharsis.  He hopes readers will relate as he shares his experiences and hope in his intensely personal collection of poetry.  He also hopes his work will inspire others to overcome adversity.  "Anything is possible," he stated, "and my book enlists strength from the reader."
Experience, Strength and Hope is available at Borders, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and authorHouse.com.  His book of poems is more spiritual than religious and it does not preach to the readers.

Right on, George! Writing about what you know is the only way to make a book shine. And catharsis is reality on steroids! Write on!
