“Forever In Your Eyes” is a potpourri of poems of love, appreciations and tributes, dedicated to Dr. Maya Angelou. It is a poetry book written by Ms. Sylvia Dianne Beverly “Ladi Di” and consists of 124 pages, published by Golden Arts Publishing.

"There is a sense that there is a fundamental truthful unity in the world and the spirit of Sylvia Dianne Beverly is undoubtedly one of the binding forces." -- Dr. Franklin A. Sonn, former Ambassador of South Africa of the United States of America.

“Forever In Your Eyes”

Phenomenal, even though you’ve described
Yourself as same
It starts with the sweetness of the sound
of your name.
You have a style of elegance that surfaces
with each work that you master
I’m touched by your emotions
now and forever after.
Fantastic to see you receive
the recognition deserved
More than two decades that the
“Caged Bird” has been preserved.
Charity, justice, equality above all
It’s no wonder you were a distinguished guest
at the inaugural ball.
Extraordinary expression as to what pride can do
for you
With a constant struggle and belief in all that
you strive to do.
Life is a constant battle and
we know that’s no lie
I can feel it Maya, I can see it,
that’s why those tears are forever in your eyes.
(dedicated to Dr. Maya Angelou)

Love's Been Here All the Time

Love's Been here yeah man all the time
You were the furthest being from my mind
I look at you Darling and I said oh no
Then I looked again and said oooo Baby maybe so
Love's Been Here All the time.
Surely a handsome galant knight
Perhaps its that smile of delight
Coupled with dimples and a determined might
Or just the inspiration and wisdom received
Spending time with you fills a great need
You know Honey you're a rare breed
Love's Been Here all the Time.
True Love a Blessing from heaven above
Pure as the likeness of a graceful dove
What I feel for you now is appreciation and love
A lifetime of being single
Thought I couldn't find Mister Right
Not mattering how often I mingle
Once a year or every night
Oh my Darling Love, Love's Been Here All the Time
Now that we have committed
I'm sure true love is in it
Isn't it just great
We are so happy, we are wonderful soulmates
Dreaming and singing the same tune
Oh yes my Darling I'll be your lovely bride
real soon
Love's been here all the time
It's been here all the time
I'm so happy you are mine
Love, love love Darling, it's been here all the time.
(dedicated to Dr. Maya Angelou)

Love's Surrender

Surround self by love
Talk love...Dream love
Perpetual goodness sweetness of love
Love's atmosphere
Embodied...bound...surrounded by love
Love of siblings
Support Share Ideas and Life
Speak truths...Sweet togetherness
Just knowing you are close by
Somewhere near
Tender delight of Mother's devoted love
Sacrifice since existence
Unconditional...just because
Simplicit love of nature
A mirage...a mystical horizon
Diamonds scattered across blanket of
Tranquilled blue
Fragrant wild flowers...cascade of beauty
Along highways...across emerald meadows
Love of man for woman...woman for man
Guide Protect Support each other
Sweet love I surrender!
(Dedicated to Haki Madhatbuti)

 “Its Up To Me”

Be a leader

Even if it means standing alone

Be unique

Have a style and mind of your own.

Be steadfast, solid on your convictions

Stand up for your predictions

Initiate brand new traditions

Be truthful, especially to self

Know honesty and love wins above all else.

Be on time

Be the first in line

You just might get a quarter instead of a dime.

Be thankful and prayerful morning noon and night

God our Father will lead you

Guide you towards what’s right.

Be pleasant, be optimistic, smile say hello first

Yes, thank you, please, make them daily verse.

Be wise and witty – success will be for thee

All the while saying if it is to be

It’s up to me.

(Dedicated to Korin – 11/23/02)

The subtle touch of nostalgia is sure make u smile ." Ladi Di this book is the true essence of you as I remember you when I was just a little girl ,until now being blessed that our paths have been reconnected forevermore. Ladi Di took me to another place with this PRIZE. A place filled with good thoughts, feelings, motivations, and most of all Love. This is one of the best collections that I've read. Everyone should purchase!

"Forever In Your Eyes" is a delightful collection of clear cut poetry.

The poems are well-written and full of beaty-filled energy.

Lady Di has a way with words, with conversation, with an eye and feeling for the simple pleasures in life.

"Forever In Your Eyes" should be apart of your poetry collection like it is apart of mines.

I LOVE "Forever In Your Eyes". Not only do I enjoy it for my own reading pleasure but I have found it a helpful tool to communicate feelings of Love, Life and Living. Instead of pondering how to say what I feel to my love, I can flip through "Forever In Your Eyes" and find a relative piece to read to him and express just how I'm feeling...Try it for yourself! Just be sure to give Ladi Di the credit. You go Ladi Di...thank you for this gift!

BRAVO Ladi Di… Forever In Your Eyes has everything… just the right mix of passion, excitement, and tenderness. Read a poem a day or just one when you need something to get you through a difficult time. Thank you Ladi Di. Peace, Love and Blessings. Each one of us truly does have a verse to contribute.

Mike Brown

I had the pleasure of meeting with Ladi Di, she is as vibrant and inspiring as her book. "Forever in Your Eyes" was written as if you could hear her voice through her poems and haikus. I very much enjoyed her book and recommend anyone who has a thirst for inspiration and appreciation.

Ladi Di, Congratulations on an outstanding book well done. "Forever in your Eyes" is a masterpiece and a piece of poetry history. This book provides what is missing in the poetry marketplace today: quality, class, substance, and variety. I am sure that Dr. Maya Angelou would be proud of this book dedicated to her. Keep up the great work and keep on sharing this thing called poetry.
