Taken From My Blog
Speaking to all of you from the depths of my heart today.
This country has seen ups and downs. We've fought and won wars, fought and lost wars. We've had a few leaders that cared about the common man, and far too many that haven't. We've weathered economic recessions and even depressions. We've done what we had to do simply to keep a roof over our family and feed our children. We had more times of despondency than elation. We bonded together and grieved together and stood together at 9ll.
I know that times are tough and I say that from a very personal experience of it. I also know that hope has been at an all time low and fear has shadowed our land. I want to say to everyone who reads this blog today, THERE IS STILL HOPE, THERE IS STILL GREATNESS in the hearts of Americans.
I hear it over and over that there is no need to vote, many don't like either candidate but if you don't exercise your right to vote you are just handing over your choices to someone else. VOTE, I beg of you to vote. One reason our country is in the ditch is because too many of us have been apathetic and felt hopeless. We've given too much power to those who don't care about anyone but themselves. It's time to take back our power. If you don't like either candidate then go out and vote for the one you lest dislike. Take advantage of being a citizen of a democracy or soon you will find it is no longer a democracy and you will not have the option of choosing your new leaders.
I am so proud of young Americans, they are waking up, taking an interest in government, voting in record numbers. Good for them! They are realizing that hope still lives and it's time to act on that hope. They have braved long lines and will brave even longer ones, they will wait 10 and 12 hours in line just to cast a vote because they have hope for a better future. We need to find our courage again, America has come back strong from other bad times, united we can do it again. We don't need messages of hate and fear and division, we need to become once again one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. We will find our courage, we will find our hope once again or we will perish.
PLEASE HAVE HOPE, PLEASE VOTE.

Not too much hope here, but they got my vote, crossing my fingers for the sake of my USMC brothers and sister past, present and future, with God's will maybe this time will be their turn.
