Being happy is what you are when you listen to your own heart and not the noise of other people pulling you in all sorts of different directions.

I like being happy, but it is impossible to be happy all the time.

Sometimes life is hard and we get impatient with how things are.

We want things now, instead of just accepting what is, and knowing

that we are where we are now, because of the choices we make

each moment of our lives.

It is easy to blame others for our unhappiness or any situation

we find ourselves in now, but, ultimately, we should really take

a good look at ourselves and not take life so seriously. The moments

come and go, like the ocean tides, and if you have one bad day, rest

assured there are good days to come.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You can't please everyone, so why

not just accept what is and stop for a moment. Just be still

within yourself.  The why's and how comes of life don't always reveal

themselves. Maybe its better not to know everything.  The mysteries

of each day lie right in front of you. You are just looking in the wrong

places. Most of all, you must look within yourself, hold your head

up high, and even find something silly to laugh about. There

are many beautiful things about life that you are missing if

you don't start living.  First of all, don't expect anything  but be

ready when something good happens. That way, you are never

disappointed and a surprise can always be around the next corner.

Secondly, do not take anything personally.  If you are easily offended

by what people say, try to remember that it is not about you. It's about

what is going on in their hearts and minds. Be kind to them. Be

patient and understanding. You have to walk a mile in someone

else's shoes to truly understand them. Give them some slack

and don't judge others too harshly. You just don't know everything

and maybe that's a good thing. Be caring and open to new

people and life and try to keep an open mind.  Just be yourself

always and kindness is your strength, no matter what the world

says. Being mean is not cool. You get back what you give, I think

that happiness comes from liking yourself first.

If you can't like yourself, how can you expect others to like you?

"Happiness isn't a little cake that can be cut up to fit our appetites"--

This is a quote from Bette Davis in the movie "All This And Heaven Too."

Its so true . We have to bend and accept life as it is today, now.

Yesterday is history

Tomorrow is a mystery

Today is a "gift" we give to ourselves.

That is why it is called the "present".

I read that somewhere, I don't exactly remember where, but

it helps me center myself and remember that each day

is precious.  I love my life, my friends and myself.

Life can be happy and cool if you just remember to

put yourself first and the rest is easy. Just be happy

for the little things that make life worth living.

People have alot of opinions about how you should be, but

listen to your own heart, follow your own path and

treasure the friends you make along the way. They are the

true treasure in life.
