Police officer use his powers to rape a citizen while on patrol. Another raped a young child! Another beat up a citizen!

California Police Officer Feliciano Sanchez, 33, was charged with a federal civil rights violation on a female motorist. A complaint, originally filed May 16, 2007 by a female motorist, alleged that the officer forced her to have sex with him under duress.

The complaint stated that the officer stopped her on a "traffic stop", then demanded that she drive to a remote location and raped her. Reports are that he was charged with aggravated sexual abuse, attempted aggravated sexual abuse, kidnapping, and threatening use of a weapon. He is being held without bond at a metropolitan detention center. They suspect there may be other victims!

In another development, Missouri Police Officer Earl Leon Thompson, 42, was charged with forcible rape on a 14 year old child! The young child stated to her parents and police investigators that the officer "ripped" off her clothes and had sex with her even after she demanded that he stop. Later, the officer emailed the victim and told her "I luv you". The child's father saw the text message! The officer is free on a $100,000 bond.

Lastly, Fort Myers Police Officer Sergeant Michael Masiero, was charged with hitting and roughing up a citizen while questioning the citizen. Fort Myers Police Chief Hilton Daniels stated "that the complaint of excessive force came from within the department during a review".

(All mentioned are innocent until proven guilty).

My take;

In the first case concerning the female motorist, I've stated many times that many rogue cops prefer to always "move" the victim and her vehicle to desolate locations. I don't know the lay out of the area where she was stopped, but always attempt if stopped by an officer to drive to a well lit area or an area where other people are located, if at all possible.  I believe the authorities are correct in their suspicion that there may be other victims! Oh, by the way, why did it take a "full' year" to bring this charge?

In the second case, what can I say about a cop who rapes a young child? I believe it might be also wise for authorities to look into any arrest he made in the past involing young children , or other females.

The last case, concerning excessive force, is not surprising. Many bad cops "cross" the line and hit citizens. I don't know why he wasn't charged with a federal civil rights violation. I hope the victim ask the F.B.I. to look into the matter. I happy though that since the complaint originated "inside" the department, a good cop probably reported him. Godspeed to that good officer!

Be careful all, a stop by a bad cop is sometimes worse than meeting a common criminal!
