The "khwasa-khwasa" of trees, "Baum-tanz".
I live on the top floor,
an apartment overlooking the hills!
Sunrises color 'Sub-Saharan' clouds from beyond,
each 'Gaborone sunrise' gives me thrills!
Trees as sentinels in green below,
abstractions in clouds float above me!
Both in resplendent natural forms,
un-created by human tools, fascinate me!
Sometimes yet, the silent sentinels in green,
come to life when theres a gusty breeze!
Each branch and leaf sways to the samba,
of air whistling through doors and rustling through leaves!
Trees seem dancing, each branch and leaf,
in jubilation, celebration and gay abandon!
Like the "khwasa-khwasa" dance,
with "African drums" in percussion!!
