Where does happiness lie ?
How can we define and measure happiness ? Prior to that, what is happiness and are we provided with an apparatus for measuring it or is it scattered ?
If u ask a soldier in uniform fighting tediously and endless over the border line, he would plainly reply that his source of happiness contendly rests in those precious moments which he spends with his family, and he savours those magical moments to his heart's content. If you ask a doctor where his happiness lies, he would spontaneously reply that watching his patients walk down the hospital corridors with health and prosperity, passing on a word of thanks and a glance of appreciation to him, he would feel that he owns the velvety sky.
If this query is posted to an author, he would find his soulful peace and serenity in his flows of words, tranposing his feelings and views in the form of characters pouring out of his body and soul.
Happiness is not a mirage or an illusion. It is not an event or a moment. It lies where u define it. It lies within you, very much inside U. It is a feeling, a passion, a serene emotion. It is usually found embedded in the tenderness and clemency of the human soul. What happens when you feel happy ? Its that steely glint in your eyes, when your heart gets caught in your throat, when tears of joy roll down your cheeks, when butterflies flutter in your stomach, when your sadness and crestfallen attitude is shoved down the darkest alley of your memory chambers, when you smile, shriek, yell, and howl with laughter for no reason at all.
Its when you feel that you have a right to enjoy the givings of life and to usher the catalysms aside. When you feel that life has more to offer than to take and all you need to do is stretch out your arm and accept it graciously. Happiness is never born from materialistic joys, or from temporary achievements. It arises from somewhere within you, from the inside of your soul and that is when you need to capture it and captivate it and keep reigniting its flame to keep your happiness alive despite of the external and internal stimuli in life.
This is what happiness is meant to be and this is what it really IS !!!!

This short Essay contains well-expressed thoughts on a subject that is very hard to define. Happiness as a human emotion, after all, is as individual as humans are. My own definition can be summed up in one short sentence: "Happiness is that moment of silence amidst the noise of daily existence." But of course that is also only an individual viewpoint.
