It does not matter what we have done. It matters who we know. Do we know Jesus, the great reconciler? He was born into this sinful world and died for our sins to reconcile us back to God. As sons and daughters of God we also must be reconcilers not revilers. We must draw others with loving kindness according to His word, “With loving kindness have I drawn thee…” Jeremiah 31:3.
We must reconcile our brothers and sisters to each other. We must put away division and strife. We must strive to be like Jesus in the earth: as He reconciled us back to the Father we must strive to reconcile brother to brother, sister to sister, mother to daughter, father to son, etc. We must not allow the enemy to use us to continue the strife. Remember, “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer…” 1 John 3:15. We cannot let petty divisions rule us and every division is petty when placed in the proper context: that context is God became flesh and dwelt among us and died in our place to bring us back in to communion with Himself – RECONCILIATION!!!
Let us love one another, let us strive to not only be reconciled to God but to one another. Let us love one another as we love ourselves. Let us draw one another with loving kindness. Let us be patient with one another. Let us rejoice with one another. Let us weep with one another. Let us bear each other’s burdens. Let the love of God abound in our hearts for one another. Let love be the key factor in all our dealings with one another. Amen.
