We need not more self interested politicians, but visionary world leaders with convictions, to harness that much vaunted human intelligence, to overcome our self destructive nature.

Looking down from mars!

The world as it should be!

Think of the United Nations as an umbrella,

A colour drenched piece of cover,

The colours being all the nations,

The centre being the law that holds the umbrella up,

And those that write the laws holding that handle,

A centre piece of agreement,

Anyone outside that law, cannot find sanctuary under it,

Being that it is a world body it should speak as such,

Speaking of the world, (the earth) would be its primary function,

Speaking of the earth and the needs of all its inhabitants,

Plants, animals, human,

Speaking of sustenance of all, that sustains life,

All the species, the water, the air, the forests, etc.,

Speaking for all its inhabitants and their survival,

A picture of the earth belonging to all of us,

Being a citizen of the earth first,

Before any national alliances,

A responsible citizen,

A world citizen,

Belonging to,

The earth,

First!

Anyone causing undue stress, or even war on the planet,

Would find no benefit or sanctuary under that umbrella,

War on its people, resources, and beings,

That would mean destroying sustainable resources,

The air, the oceans, fresh waters, its fauna, earth and minerals,

In other words anything that would cause undue stress to the planet,

Or the world’s inhabitants,

Redeployment of its resources, and their sharing in an equitable manner,

Crossing all national boundaries,

Sustainable production of goods only,

Production of goods that are earth friendly, and needed for the sustenance of life,

Research in sustainable living foremost a concern,

An attitude of inclusion, including microbes, and all others,

All that which would have an end effect on total sustainability,

Electricity, dams, flush toilets, building codes, etc.,

Drag netting, over fishing, over hunting, harvesting, clear cutting, deforestation, etc.

Land resources use, planting appropriate crops, curtailing the meat industries use of land,

Pound of food per acre, instead of pound of luxuries, such as meat, or luxury homes,

Waste products curtailment, restrictions on packaging,

Shipping only that can’t be produced locally,

Chemical use restrictions, and all the by products thereof,

Transportation, the reach of the consumer, worker traffic,

Rethinking where to produce, and how, where to work and how,

Proximities to inhibit long distance need of travel,

Rethinking of city planning,

Restructuring old planning,

Cost analysis of health resources,

Before and after,

Of restructured city planning of proximities,

Long term borrowing and savings,

Differences in pluses and minuses,

Tax system revamp, to include total and ideal costs,

And structural benefit to society as a whole,

A common world wide tax system,

A common world currency,

A common world market,

Earmarked with the new,

And more enlightened,

Common engagement,

To keep this planet,

In common,

For every,

Beings,

Life!

The Son said that His Father could destroy the Temple and rebuild it in three days; perhaps the Father should do it, clean our planet of everything and this time put a workable brain in the man-monkey, not the same like on today's vandals.
Amen.

You paint a marvelous picture, my friend. If only it could be so; I think Mother Earth would be much happier than She is today.
