Prayer is a valuable thing to do. It does work; we know that to be true . I am a perfect example. I should have died in December of 1994, but I had surgery and lived until September 1997 when here in Dallas the Doctor finally removed my “inoperable” tumor/lesion. I still have people praying for me to this very day.
To pray is to ask something of the angels or of God himself. Sometimes, it is just to have some Divine Guidance throughout the troubling ordeal that looms in front of those who are seeking prayer. I have always wondered what happens when I pray. (we pray)
For me, the way I pray is getting down on my knees and thanking the Lord for another day blessed without pain medication – narcotics. I now stick to Advil since September 15th of last year. (2005) I have more need of pain meds but I am sticking without it for at least now. I am Proud to say, 1 year narcotic free! I still take anti-seizure meds though.
I also thank God for the Blessed day ahead and how much I love life even though it gets me down. My psychiatrist and I are working on that part. I say the name of people I would like my angels to watch over for me.
This is the way I pray but you can pray differently. God does not mind. HE can hear all prayers.
I have already met Jesus twice now because of my illness. He is cool. He loves each and every one of us. We are HIS Children. Never forget that.
