A quetion for all candidates of all parties running for the office of President of the US.
I have watched your debates, and interviews and listened to your speeches. I know where you stand on foreign policy, the war in Iraq, and global warming. I have just one question that needs to be answered before I decide what candidate, what party, will get my vote. What will you do for me?
I am the average middleclass household stuck between poverty and wealth. It is my taxes that provide for social and welfare programs and it is my purchase power that increases the wealth of the wealthy.
When I fall on hard times there is no program to help me. My income level is too high for any type of assistance. My children do not qualify for financial aid to go to college because my earnings are too high. No consideration is given to the fact that I may be living paycheck to paycheck, reguardless of my situation I am expected to contribute more than I can afford to their college tuition.
I have health insurance through my company but the copays for hospitalization are so high that if I should have a major illness I would be financially ruined.
The cost of gasoline has cut severely into my budget and the rising cost to feed my family leaves me with little hope for the future.
I return now to my question.
What will you do for me?
If I put you into office, and pay all your expenses with my tax dollars how will I benefit personally, not as one of millions, but me and my family as individuals. What will the rewards of my investment in you be?
If you can answer that you have my vote!
