Such wise words, that we all should heed!
This story was told to me by a Cherokee Elder, it is in no way my own story, but just a way for the world to understand Native American Wisdom.

An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life.
He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me. It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, spite, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, ego, and unfaithfulness.
The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, forgiveness, integrity, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faithfulness.
This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person too."
They thought about it for a minute then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
Amber "V" Moonstone footnotes:
This is so clearly and wisely stated. We have the power to change our lives, by choosing the right wolf, that lives inside all of us.
I go for the positive in life, always.
Peace, Love, and Light to all!

| As always, the Cherokee wisdom is told in stories to the young. Passed down through the generations. Thank you for sharing this one, CarolHawks |

Nicely written tale and yes, so very true. The one you feed, I like that. There is no good or bad about it, is there?
Be safe,

I think too many people feed the wrong wolf. I agree with you! I prefer to feed the positive.

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
That old Cherokee was very wise. But very sadly, I think the wrong wolf is definitely winning these days. |
