As I read My Daddy My Daughter, I learned much about the author’s writing it. These are God-fearing, proud America’s, social conscience, self- discovered, and love seeking individuals who are very perceptive about our world we live in. Their poems give hope, have humor and deal with the complex issues of love. I treasured two poems in this book dearly they both made me cry. Only A Dad by author Aja Sherri Mack was an insightful, thoughtful and beautiful tribute to fathers who work so hard for their families. I made me think of my husband who is a father like she described in the poem. I know she was referring to her own father but it touched my heart. Then Holly With That Everyday Smile by author by Wesley Allen Mack was a heartwarming relationship, heartbreaking because it was Holly’s only one. It touched my heart because we really never know when one’s love can make a world of difference. It also has a remind to love the unlovely no matter what is received back. I did like the rest of the poems in My Daddy My Daughter; I had a list of a few more I enjoyed. This book is a 5***** Event for me because of those two poems alone but the great news is book is filled of Poetry everyone can appreciate! Happy Reading!!
