My Definition of a Cozy Mystery
Cozies are comfortable books with polished, sophisticated, likable characters. The characters have manners. Dinners are somewhat formal. Usually there are servants around or nurturing staff at upscale resorts, or some other fine, pampering establishment.
Setting examples are country homes, cruises, and bed and breakfasts.
Violent is offscene and nonintrusive. The character's dialogue is often witty.
