Beware of What You Drink, you may be surprised! just some facts...no hype intended...
According to an online article published in Men's Health Magazine, Amercians don't drink enough drinks made of nutrients and less calories. "The Unhealthiest Drinks in America 2009" does well to expose details and offer alternative choices.
Writing the next NYT Best Seller or just relaxing give you the cravings to drink something? First, think before you drink. The good news---you can achieve more for less. Compared to food calories, you can easily cut liquid calories, lose more weight in the process, and keep it off longer.
Hmm...(Drum Roll Please...)The #1 Worse Unhealthiest Drink in America: Here's Who and Why...a sampling:
Baskin-Robbins Large Chocolate Oreo Shake
* 2,600 Calories
* 135 grams of fat
* 263 grams of sugar
* 1,700 mg of sodium
Instead, drink this:
Plain Water

Small Chocolate Chip Shake

*21 grams of fat
* 72 grams of sugar
It's also easy and simple as reading the drink's label. Ceveat Emptor, Let the Buyer Beware came into being for a purpose. Chances are if the ingredients list is as long as your arm, forget it---it's probably not good for you anyway. With disclosure comes warnings, though too much for any unsuspecting consumer.
The best thing to do is just simply go on with your great writer's life--- enjoy your meals and drinks, but sensibly and lose weight in the process.
