As writers, sometimes our pen needs to be a scalpel, particularly when we need to write about exposes and truth; it will hurt but it will heal, better to write about it than to sweep it under the rug.
The necessity and urgency of our times demand the writing of this article which I pray will clarify the truth about false religion and its deception of millions of people around the world.
Religion has no place in the kingdom of God. It has been used by Satan to deceive mankind into false salvation and a false perception of God. It has succeeded in the duplication of the gifts and miracles of the Holy Spirit and invented countless counterfeits of miracles and signs to give itself a tinge of credibility.
The way to sift truth from error is through the Word of God. A seeker of God's truth will not be left alone groping pathetically in uncertainty and
unanswered questions because God Himself
promised in His Word : "If you seek Me
you will find Me, if you seek Me with all your heart and with all your soul."
Jeremiah 29:13, Deuteronomy 4:29)
How do we know the False Religion, the new Babylon in The Book of Revelation?
1.) It glorifies a human being and not
God. The Word of God, the Bible is
life-changing, inerrant, infallible
truth of God.
No human being is "infallible" only
God is. Infallibility means there is
no possibility of error.
2.) The new Babylon diverts man's focus
away from God by refocusing it to
Religion, an organization of man
that has made its way into the
Christian church founded by Christ
and calls itself "Christian" but its
teachings are galaxies apart from the
teachings God in the Bible.
3.) The new Babylon aims to deceive man
into self-righteousness through good
works in order to attain heaven and
the acceptance of God. However,
practitioners of this religion are
never even sure they themselves will
enter heaven. That is ridiculous
because how can one teach how to go
to heaven and yet not be sure of it
Some of its teachings that are against the Bible are these:
1. THE MASS - the Bible says "Unlike
other high priests, He does not need
to offer sacrifices day after day,
first for His own sins and then for
the sins of the people.
He sacrificed for their sins once
and for all when he offered himself"
2. CONFESSION - the Bible says "If we
confess our sins (to God) He is
faithful and just and will forgive
our sins and purify us of all
unrighteousness." (I John 1:9)
3. SAINTS - the Bible says we as
believers in Christ are His "saints"
and the Apostle Paul called the
first Christians as saints.
"To the saints in Ephesus..."
"To all the saints in Christ Jesus
at Philippi...." (Philippians 1:1)
4. WORSHIP OF MARY - the Bible says
"I Am the Lord they God, thou shalt
not have strange gods before Me."
(Exodus 20:1 - 3)
"I Am the Lord; that is My Name!
I will not give My glory to another
or my praise to idols."
5: MANNER OF SALVATION - the Bible says
"It is by grace you have been saved,
not of works so that no one will
boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
"But God demonstrates His love for
us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us. Since
we have now been justified by His
blood, how much more shall we be
saved from God's wrath through Him!"
6. ASSURANCE OF HEAVEN - the false
religion teaches one has to say the
"Last Contrition" with a priest in
order to go to heaven.
The Bible says:
"To all who received Him, to those
who believed in His Name, He gave
the right to become children of God
- children born not of natural
descent...but born of God."
YOU WILL NOT PERISH- the Bible says
"For God so loved the world that
He gave His Only Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish
but have eternal life."
YOU WILL NOT BE REJECTED -
The Bible says "I Am the Bread of
Life, ....All that the Father gives
Me will come to Me, and whoever
comes to Me I will never drive
away." (John 6:35-37)
YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE NOW -
The Bible says Jesus Christ said:
"Now this is eternal life, that they
may know You, the Only True God,
and Jesus Christ Whom You have
sent." (John 17:3)
"I tell you the truth, he who
believes had everlasting life."
YOU HAVE GOD'S BLESSINGS NOW-
"Delight yourself in the Lord,
and He will give you the desires
of your heart." (Psalm 37:4)
"The Lord gives wisdom and from His
mouth come knowledge and
understanding." (Proverbs 2:6)
"If you make the most high your
dwelling- even the Lord who is my
refuge, then no harm will befall
you, no disaster will come near
your tent." (Psalm 91:9)
"Because he loves Me, says the Lord
I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he
acknowledges My Name"
He will call upon Me and I will
answer him, I will be with him in
trouble." (Psalm 91:14-15)
When the Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation, he described the "Mystery Babylon" as "a woman dressed in purple ans scarlet, and was glittering in gold,
precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. This title was written in her forehead:
BABYLON THE GREAT
THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH
I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus."
The description of the "woman" signifies a city. But the real city of Babylon was already in ruins, and although the ancient Babylon was destroyed (Isaiah 13:19-22, Jeremiah 51-52) her religious practices, rituals, and concepts were continued on from the time of the Roman Empire and assimilated into a form of religion established in Rome, and carried on until now.
What are these?
1. Mother & son worship -originated from
Babylon goddess Semiramis with her
child Tammuz in her arms. Monuments
and statues of this mother and child
gods have been scattered when Babylon
fell. In Egypt, the mother was
known as Isis and her child as Horus.
After Constantine, and the Council of
Ephesus in 431 AD, the worship of
Mary was made a doctrine.
2. "Perpetual Virginity" - the doctrine
that Mary remained forever a virgin
was confirmed and made official in
the Council of Chalcedon in 451 AD.
The Bible says Jesus Christ was her
"firstborn" son (Matthew 1:25) and
in Matthew 13:55 four brothers of
Jesus were mentioned "James, Joses,
Simon, and Judas." Sisters were
also mentioned, the people of
Nazareth said: "...and his sisters,
were they not all with us?" (v.56)
3. Origin of the Rosary - prayer beads
are common int he middle east and in
Asian countries, the Phoenicians of
ancient times used such form of
counters for prayers and monuments
in ancient Nineveh shows winged
females praying before a tree
holding rosaries, or bead-counting
strings for prayers to goddesses
Astarte, and in ancient Greece, the
beads for worship to the goddess
Diana. Those who worshiped Diana
repeated a religious phrase "over and
over again" (Acts 19:34)
Jesus Christ specifically said:
"When you pray, do not use vain
repetitions, as the heathen do; for
they think that they will be heard
by their many words. Do not be like
them, for your Father knows what you
need before you ask Him."
4. Purgatory/Intercession of Saints-
the Bible never mentioned any place
called Purgatory or Limbo(for babies)
only heaven and hell.
We cannot pray to human beings for
intercession because they have no
divine power. The Bible says -only
Jesus Christ can intercede for us:
"Therefore He is able to save
completely those who come to God
through Him, because He always lives
to intercede for them"
5. PETER IS NOT THE FIRST POPE-
The Apostle Peter was not the first
Pope, he was a married man when
Jesus called him as apostle,
In all the letters of the early
church from Acts to Revelation,
Peter NEVER WENT TO ROME. He went
Antioch, Samaria, Joppa, Caesarea,
and other places but never Rome.
Peter as apostle had little faith
in traditions, his preaching on the
day of Pentecost centered of the
Word of God, as told by Jesus Christ,
(I Peter 1:18, Acts 2:38).
Peter never took on a title as pope,
never acted like a pope, and never
wrote like one! His ministry was
as apostle to the Jews (Gal.2:7-9)
while Paul's ministry was as
apostle to the Gentiles. And Rome
was a Gentile city, so how can Peter
be bishop of a Gentile city?
In Paul's letter to the Christian
church in Rome, he greeted twenty-
seven persons by name, but never
mentioned Peter. How can Paul not
mention Peter, when he considered
him one of the pillars of the early
church (Gal. 2:9, 2 Cor.12:11)?
Peter was never in Rome and never
sat as Rome's first pope. He was
crucified BY THE ROMANS by hanging
him upside down on a cross. A funny
way to treat a "pope".
As always and of utmost importance, research and study of the truth based on the Bible will answer questions as to what is true and what is false. It is a choice to be deceived, and a choice to get out of deception. God has given His Book as our guide, we only need to open it and ask Him to shed light on His truths. I write this as one formerly deceived by the Babylon Mystery Religion, and I was saved by the
Word of God.
