Dr. Michael Sterling isn't your run of the mill guy - he is living one life his wife thinks, but in reality, he is an operative for the government.

He is called to 'Peace talks' in the Middle East and is caught in a gun fight of dramatic proportions. He is given a book that has a red hand print in vellum at the beginning of the book and is told to keep it safe.

In the meantime, the newly elected Pope has also found a similar book, and wonders what he is supposed to do about it.

In the meantime, there are a bunch of folks who believe the very fabric religion is weaved on is not true and nothing short of a world world war would have the survivors start anew.

It is Tom Clancy meets Dan Brown. Well written, albeit long on the tech stuff, airplanes that REALLY fly, etc., but it is an interesting take on the idea that Jesus wasn't crucified and died but went with Mary Magdeline and their family to France and had descendents, etc.

I had a copy that didn't have page numbers, but I understand that this has been corrected. It is always a comforting thing to have a reference like page numbers - yes, a bookmark helps too!

It is a good read and will probably read the sequel, but this book will keep you busy with nonstop action and you can tell Joseph Nagle did his research.

Good read.
