I feel that learning is the most important thng for us in every stage of life. I take writing lessons from a center and one of the classes that I signed up for, but was not able to attend was taught by the author of Mystic Witch, Mark All.
He was kind enough to send me the notes he gave out and gave me a few pointers and suggested some organizations to join to continue to learn.
I read Mystic Witch in one reading. I picked it up before I was to write some more on my debut novel THIRST, and I never got around to writing!
I got caught up in the non-stop action and before I knew it, I finished the book!
It is set in a place we know well, Atlanta Georgia.
The protagonist is a young lady with a razor sharp temper, Bailey Campbell. She was cut off from her grandmother when she was a child, but has terrible memories of violence and her father's murder. Quite a lot for a young girl to carry!
When her grandmother died, Bailey finds her grandmother left her a house and lots of money, but the down size is faceless monsters start to attack her.
Her temper and psychic ability help her to avoid these creatures. It seems an evil sorcerer, Bern Emmerich, has been psychically imprisoned after the father's murder, but when Bailey's grandmother dies, the psychic jail starts to dissolve.
This is one bad dude.
He wants to destroy the world and form it in his own image.
It's up to Bailey to stop them, but how?
She goes to her gay BFF and then gets his partner involved to help. There is someone that seems to be shadowing her, and that is Frank Demming. If sexy Demming can just calm Bailey's temper, and let her psychic ability shine through, together maybe can figure how to stop destruction from happening.
Mystic Witch is a non stop book with action galore. It takes you on a pretty fair ride around Atlanta, and you get so caught up with the action, you cannot put down the book!
The action is sometimes so fast you have to reread the passages, but it's worth it.
Mr. All is a talented writer and I look forward to his next novel, which says in the book is The Spellcaster's Grimoire. Don't know if it is a Bailey Campbell novel, but she deserves a series of her own.
Love the characters!
