How would you like a Christmas Card this year that says "Good will towards men" and really means it?
It's a gift to you from us that if given to your friends, will give to Haiti, which, in turn, is a real gift to us.
Say what?
I'm talking about Christmas cards —- beautifully handcrafted Christmas cards from Haiti, and you should see what they can do with banana leaves! In an extremely generous gesture, well-known poet Bernice Angoh (www.berniceangoh.com) has linked her pen with us, and has donated a delicious assortment of words to be crafted into the cards.
After hundreds of hours of ink-trail travel, this PIGGY INK project has gone from Haiti, to the U.S., to Cameroon, West Africa, and back again, and is aiming to write right through the middle of you. We are delighted to offer you the end result of this joint venture: Cards that give Christmas cheer to the reader, and something far greater to the crafters of these unique cards. With a small donation of $25.00, we'll ship a good dozen of our collective creations straight to your mailbox, just in time to send off for Christmas. And when they arrive, after you drink in your own sweet message, add some of your ink before you send them on. Oh what a happy trail we'll make from PIGGY INK to You, to them!
The proceeds of this project will be donated to Sion Fonds, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to keeping families together and improving quality of life in rural Haiti.
Sion Fonds works with villages in rural Haiti to send children to school, teach job skills to parents, build wells, etc. In fact, they taught these villagers to make the cards you are about to purchase! Learn more about them by visiting their website: www.sionfonds.org
