Michael Phillips author of over fifty books in the CBA Market weaves together a tale of friendship and racial conflict set in the south during the period of the Civil War
Marmee and Katie come from different worlds, born less than a year apart only miles from each other, they each dealt with different lives, Marmee a slave, and Katie the dughter of a plantation owner, both are brought together by the murder of their families on different plantations, by the same renegade soldiers.
These two girls unlikely friends become friends and family to each other after the loss of there parents. Each girl will learn that skin color makes no difference when it comes to the grief and pain of watching your family murdered, and they learn that skin color does not really matter when it comes to genuine friendship...A great story showing of an unusual friendship during a volitile time in not only southern history, but American history as well....
Enjoy this wonderful read by Michael Phillips and Look for the second book in the Shenadoah Sisters series A Day To Pick Your Cotton...
