Mom April.09

I woke up this morning with two things on my mind, the fact that I am richly blessed, my Mother is still a part of my life, in fact we still live under the same roof.  With my health issues, and the economy being the way it is it is just better that way, but despite that my Mother and I are still very close, we have our disagrements from time to time, but that is normal for anyone, and I know I am blessed.

The second thing that came to mind was that this is Mrs Sheryls first Mothers Day without her Mom, who died in September of 08.  I had written a poem and shared it with her, as I have done before, and as always she was thankful for my words, but it put things into perspective for me, the importance of taking those moments you have and loving the people in your life to the best of your ability.

I am not a Mother unless you count my pets, and I often do LOL, but I am grateful to play even  a small role in these childrens lives.  I may not be a parent, but even if I play a small role in helping them to be a Child who knows the importance of following the Lord.  I may have my physical limitations but despite that I often find myself getting down to the childs level when they are hurting, and talking to them, praying for them whatever is necessary.

I got the children a cheap digital camera for Wal Mart, something for them to learn on, because they tend to love to use my Sony, and though I dont mind the older kids using it, and Ethan is allowed to use it as well, there are some kids who dont know the importance of respecting things, or they are just to young to really understand so I bought them this one.  Malachi who is nine and Ethan and Autumeve's oldest brother.  He has some behavorial issues, but he at the heart he is a good kid, and when he is using the camera his creativtity shines through.
