Have you ever sat down and thought about the perfect relationship and what that means to you as an individual?
What is perfection? Have you ever sat down and thought about the perfect relationship and what that means to you as an individual? Seriously, as a teenager, we think about what the perfect man would be like, and for me, he was dark haired, dark eyed, tan, strong and a few years older than me. Of course, the fact that he was able to get me out from under my parent’s roof was an added bonus, but that’s another chapter.
As a young adult, we start looking for someone with some direction in their life, a goal, and obvious effort towards reaching it.
As we grow up, we might begin to find some signs of routine in our life whereas, perfection would now be excitement and renewed youth. But for those who have still not experienced stable routine, and older, more complete version of the young adult would be very welcome. Basically I’m saying that we may consider perfection to be nothing it once was everything it will be.
My point is…. We all have an image, both physically and emotionally about who the perfect man is and what the perfect relationship would be like and this image changes as we change, grow and mature. At least my image did.
I realized that looks fade in comparison to lack of emotional connection. I learned that a person could actually become ugly to you if your relationship fades and even if you maintain friendship for the sake of other issues, like children or peace of mind, a physical relationship is a very necessary part of every real relationship. If there is nothing physically attracting you to what used to be perfection… your mind will start wandering. You will start re-evaluating perfection and you will start writing ridiculous blogs like these.
