In praise of Benazir Bhutto.
Cold shivers ran through my spine, as I listened in shock and horror, to the news about the assassination of Benazir Bhutto of pakistan, on Thursday December 27th 2007.
As the story unfolded, it became apparent to me, that Benazir Bhutto may have been killed, but had not been silenced, for deep beneath the vengeful soil, her voice was heard louder still, not with words, but with her blood that cried out in defence of the poor, and against religious extremists and oppressive leaders.
Her fate must not deter but empower, her courage not forgotten, and her voice enabled and freed, on the pages of the books that will henceforth render it audible for many generations.
