For some time now, I have undergone the scorching of the blazing, fiery flames of injustice. Many may refer to this as being banished to 'hell on earth."
Today, I was awakened by a voice, obviously God’s, that whispered ever so sweetly and calmly, ‘’the hotter the fire, the purer the gold, the shinier the diamond’’
Many of us cringe and run from trials and tribulation, we ask God “why” when we go through various troubles; like sickness, loss of a loved one, unemployment, failed marriage, take your pick, the list goes on and on.
One comforting thought is that, the Lord will always show up in the midst of the fire. He will always be there as the fourth man, like He was for Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego when they were tossed into the fiery furnace by king Nebuchadnezzar.
If we cringe not, and trust God and hold fast to our confession of faith, He will see us through. Not only will we come out of the fire shining, but we will not be burned. Beauty and promotion awaits us if we faint not.
When we undergo injustice or victimization, the temptation to compromise, or succumb to Peer pressure becomes overwhelming. We must be encouraged that victory only comes to those who by faith endure to the end.
When those three Hebrew boys emerged from the fire, they got their promotion. The very same king who tossed them into the fire because they refused to worship his golden idol, was the selfsame one that promoted them, after the true and living God proved His faithfulness on their behalf.
Those same people who have abused, victimised ,denied, and kicked us to the curb will be the very ones that God will confound when the day of our favor comes. Weeping may endure for the night but joy surely comes in the morning.
I am determined to embrace the flames with courage, faith, and trust, as I patiently wait for God to show up in the midst of all my trials, tests, pains, and sufferings.
