As some of you may already know I do not mind a good debate. Well I have recently heard a "church goer" call their neighbor a "Hypocrit". And the "church goer's" excuse for this judgement was that the neighbor had gone to church on Sunday, after drinking on Saturday nite. My opinion is this; we all have sinned. Every single one of us. Even the highest person in the church is a sinner. Jesus is the only one who has never sinned. That is why we need a Savior.
In my eyes, the "Hypocrit" would be the one who says they believe in God and yet refuses to acknowledge Him and/or the "church goer" that made the above judgement.
If the drinker is a hypocrit for attending church the morning after, then so would be every person that attended church with unforgiven sin.Atleast the attendee is in the correct place to possibly find deliverance of his/her sins. (Well that is questionable if everyone in the church has the same perception as the hypocritical church goer from above.)
In no way am I condoning any act of sin. I am only acknowleging the fact that the church should be as a hospital.
Although every other option in the world leads to disappiontment, the love of the Lord is triumphant. Therefore, love within the church and its people should not fail. If we thrive to be as He, we will witness His love prevail!
Please don't hold back from going to God because you have done something you shouldn't have. You aren't alone. We are equal in God's eyes. From the most righteous to the most sinful, God loves us all.
Also heard another say that they werent ready to come to church because they weren't ready to give up anything.... Let me say,"God isn't going to take, He gives. No matter how you look at it, God gives!"
And when I invite you to church, it isnt for any reason other than to show you a place where you can learn about the Man who gives love, peace, and joy. Anything beyond that is between you and God.
Love you all!
