Filling God's Shoes

What is wrong with the human race?

What is wrong with the human race?   Wrong?  Yes, WRONG!

Why do we, individually and collectively, behave in ways that are ultimately self-destructive?

Fellow humans, each one of us (if we are honest enough to admit it) routinely do things to ourselves and to others, that are harmful. May not 'seem' harmful, or 'appear' harmful, but never-the-less, are harmful.

In this brief article, I would like to explore this issue with you, by employing our Creator's own Word. I am asking you to please keep an open mind. Our culture prides itself on being open, tolerant and unprejudiced. Well, if that's really true, I would only ask to be treated fairly and at least secure a hearing, if not agreement. Please read "Filling God's Shoes" with an inquiring mind.

First of all, if you have a Bible, please turn with me to Genesis, chapter one verse one:

"In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth". (I'm using the King James Version)

Question: At this point in time:  Where was mankind?

If you read down to verse 5 you will find out that this was the..."FIRST day".  Now skim down to verse 26 to where it reads, "And God said, ' Let us make man in our image after our likeness: and let them have dominion..."

Keep on reading down to verse 31. Now, on what day was the human species created? The SIXTH day, right?  So, in Genesis 1:1 WHERE was the human race?  The answer, from God's own mouth, from His own account is...that we had not yet been created.

Herein, is the crux of humanity's problem. In the above revealed truth, we possess in seed-form, the reason why humans are so self-destructive in a multitude of ways. We instinctively know that God created us...but we bulk at confessing that truth.  Want to see that same truth revealed in the New Testament?  Flip through your Bible with me to Romans chapter one, verse nineteen (Rom. 1:19)

"Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has shown it to them."

The New Living Translation [NLT] translates it like this:

"They know the truth about God because He had made it obvious to them."

Let's read on...verse 20 says, "For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world..."  What does it mean by 'invisible things'? Scripture throws light upon Scripture. Read on and it will be explained.

"...being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and godhead; so that they are without excuse:"

The 'invisible things are first, God's eternal power and, secondly, His godhead. These are two aspects of God's nature. He is powerful- and He is un-created. This means He is uniquely different from all else. The Creator therefore must not be CONFUSED WITH HIS CREATION!  The two beings are NOT equal- at all. When humans try and imagine God on par with humans, in any way- they always end up disrespecting The Deity! They pervert the truth about who God is.

Something else that needs to be seen- is that God did not continue to create:

"The heavens and earth were FINISHED, and ALL THE HOST OF THEM."  Could God have made it any plainer to us? (Genesis 2:1,2)

God wants us to understand this point so much, that He keeps repeating it two more times. The evolutionists are wrong!  After SIX turns of our planet upon its axis (day following evening) God CEASED to create!  The original creation is not being improved. It was finished!

GENESIS 2

The creation of the first pair of human creatures.
