I know a lot of you out there suffer from chronic pain. I know just how you feel; I have degenerative osteoarthritis, and I'm in pain 24/7...

AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!

That's what I feel like saying right now..I woke up with a painful back and it HURTS TO MOVE!!! Don't know what I did..don't know if I slept on it wrong, don't recall picking up anything heavy, don't recall wrenching it somehow...

ONCE in a while the old back likes to give me fits. A few years ago I suffered a SEVERE back spasm that lasted over 2 weeks. Every movement proved to be AGONY for me. I then got over it, but then I reinjured my back picking up a 5-pound gas can. Again, INSTANT PAIN!!! And again, more agony for me.

I remember one time I was making the bed, and somehow I managed to throw my back out of whack. Oh, how I CRIED!!!

I wonder if I'm starting to get arthritis in my back...

Oh, I already took a HOT bath to try to relax the old spine, plus I put some pain reliever rub on it--and boy, was it EVER COLD when I put it on!!! It then got REALLY WARM!!!--, plus I took some pain reliever. It's helped some, but not much. It is SO HARD TO GET COMFORTABLE when one's back is hurting like mine is!!! It feels like some mean old man is inside my spine, kicking the devil out of it!! Or better yet, someone is stabbing me over and over again....

OWWW!!! PAIN LINES!!!

Bet I have a WHOLE FOREST of them right now on my face....

I'm glad to say I DON'T have pain running down my legs; just the old back is what's hurting me right now at the moment..well, THAT and Arthur Itis...

GREAT. MORE PAIN. JUST WHAT I DON'T NEED...

All I have to say is this, people..PLEASE BE GOOD TO YOUR SPINE, AND IT WILL BE GOOD TO YOU!! IF NOT, YOU WILL KNOW IT SOONER OR LATER!!

Maybe I'm having sympathy pains for Karla; her back hurts ALL THE TIME...

I just wanted to drop you a line and say, I admire your courage and strength. There is nothing worse then back pain to me, as no matter how you set, stand, or lie, doesn't matter. You Still hurt. My wife lives with this everyday, how she copes with it I'll never know. I think it's because we surround her with alot of love and kisses. And lots and lots of prayer! Best wishes to you Karen. you are right--it is no fun. But some of us live with pain everyday as a constant companion. If you haven't found www.restministries.com I hope you will join us there. I think you would have alot to offer.

Hi Karen,
I know what bad back pain is like, as I occasionally get "lumbar sacral spondylosis". It is not curable but it only causes occasional bad pain, when my back "goes out". My local physio nurse taught me to do a simple exercise of leaning back slowly, counting to ten, then straightening up, or slowly pushing my arms up from the floor to flex my back the "right way". You can also get cushions that are like a "D" in section, the curve of the D fits into your lower back to support it. An elastic back brace might also help. Massage helps too, rubbing a "figure of eight" outline at the base of the spine, using oil... Sara.
