Are you in danger? and would you know if you were? Well, here is your opportunity to examine yourself in this situation called you life...IS YOUR HOUSE ON FIRE?

IS YOUR HOUSE ON FIRE?

Let's just say that you wake up about three o'clock in the morning, because you smell smoke in your home... Immediately you frantically search the house to try to detect just where the fire is. The air quickly gets thick with smoke, and you start to entertain leaving the house all together.

You head toward the door, and the phone rings....you look at it, but are afraid to answer in the fear that you might become the neighborhood barbeque.

Just as you are almost in the hallway; you turn back around to answer the the ringing phone. Now you're in trouble, because it's one of those telemarketers that just happens to be giving a survey, you try to assert that you were just leaving because of an emergency.

He says, "Look I know that you are very busy and have better things to do than take a survey,(as his lessons on overcoming objections come into play) but this would be very good for me, since this is my first week, yadda, yadda, yadda" The smoke has now gotten very thick, but you don't want to be rude as you desperately feel around for a seat, because he has already told you that it will take several minutes to complete.

OK, this telemarketer needs a name, so we'll call him Timmy. Obviously reading, Timmy must have turned to page1, because he starts out, "Thank you Mr. Crawford for taking this call. Did you know...yadda yadda yadda?"  Ãs You now begin to now hear the quickly approaching fire engines, which simultaneously confirms a reason for your now very lightheaded condition. And because of this, you actually wonder is it really hot in here, or is it just you?

DOES THIS MAKE DENSE TO YOU?

In the Cd, How to Find Success by Losing Your Mind--Pay Attention, Vol. 3, we have a whole section dedicated to living a life that makes Dense. When I use this word, I am referring to our minds and how it seems to be sooooooo hard for us to leave the burning building that is our house or current situation (mentally as well as spiritually)

The dictionary defines Dense:  as : thick, solid, impenetrable, dark, shadowy, gloomy, murky, crowded, deep, complicated, opaque, stupid. Now just think on the last time that you became highly motivated to the point that you were ready to change the world, and everything you needed to change, what happened?

As in the example of "Is your house on fire?", we should be able to very clearly see that we, instead of answering the conventional telephone call of the eager telemarketer, we answer the equivalent. Making Dense to you?  I can hear you saying to yourself this is ridiculous. I would NEVER answer a phone on the way out of a burning building! Yet most Americans are doing just that! We get on the phone our minds and speak with our tainted logic & reasonings as to why we CAN'T change now anyway. We pick up associates & aquaintances who are not trying to escape the house or situation they find themselves in,

We know full well that to GIVE THEM OUR PRECIOUS TIME can only add to the  devastation and lack, accompanied by no commitment to keep our eyes on the prize. In return we run away from and surrender choices, and opportunities toward our future in many ways.

Why is it that we don't realize and accept the fact that in each of our days are 24 hours with which we can do anything?

Among them could  be some things that would bring us closer to our million dollar dream or to actually thrive!   We could spend this precious time replacing some of the self defeating habits we commit without effort. What kind of kick in the pants are we waiting for? What has to happen at this point in our lives? What keeps you and I from venturing away from what we presently know to live an actual life, and not merely accept conditioning that we have NEVER analyzed for ourselves?

Think about this. What if someone were to tell you that the world is now flat? What would YOUR response be? Now, I don't even know you, but I can almost imagine that you would have some sort of debate to prove how ridiculous they are. But why? Have you and I ever proven that the world was round? Probably not...what is your proof? The globe? DUUUH!

It's not as if your block curves downward at the end, or does it?

When have you and I ever done any significant or in-depth studies concerning the lives we live, habits we form, and positions we accept? The answer: WE DON'T!

Why has this thinking been allowed to prevail as long as it has?  Well, mainly because we live undocumented lives. There are habits thoughts and practices that prevail, that we have never PURPOSELY adopted but would defend our position with our very LIVES! At the very same time losing the gift of time & opportunity defending ignorance that supports or defeat.

I once heard it said by Dr. A.R.Bernard "When your outgo exceeds oour income, then our upkeep will be our down fall"

Are you living a live where you are growing in every facet of your life? Or are you perhaps living in an all consuming fire of faith, foolishness or presumption?

Here are a couple of Ideas that could change everything around for you.

1. Pay Attention. Do you find your experience to be that of the majority (fear, lack, procrastination)

2. Determine what you Expect? Determine in your mind not only what you want but what you actually expect in your life. It is true what we want shows up in conversation, while what we EXPECT shows up in our behaivior

3. Watch out for distractions and determine if it is worthy of your time or attention. Although I did not write this next paragraph it bears repeating:

With today’s constant media barrage of bad news, people feel bad enough already and don’t want anything that makes them feel worse, says anthropologist-turned-brand-strategist Cheryl Swanson. With all the info coming at us 24/7, “We are processing information at 400 times the rate of our Renaissance ancestors.” This is a new human task that we haven’t had time to adapt to yet – physically or mentally. That’s why we're getting tech-related health problems, like carpal tunnel, and maybe even mental and neurological problems like attention-deficit disorder. Naturally our attention is fraying – we are whipsawed by stimuli!
“Moreover, with that 400 times more information did not come 400 more hours in a day. So, we steal that time from sleep, both deliberately (by working late into the night) and not (by being too wound up to drift off). Hence another big trend: The burgeoning sleep industry, with new pills, pillows, and in the big hotels, even “sleep concierges” all trying to help us get the ZZZs we need

4 Refuse to minor in the major things of life!   Habitual television watching over habits that can increase your income should be seen as bringing a can of kerosene into a burning house.

5.Talk to yourself. Even if others are spending time talking about things that will NOT help thier situations then YOU TALK TO YOURSELF. Tell YOURSELF of your need to eascpe the situations you find yourself in and then make the appropriate plans.

6. You can't follow a parked car: Discover what 90% of people are doing and RUN LIKE HELL in the OPPOSTE DIRECTION! Avoid people, philosophies and beliefs that do not work!

If you and I are going to do any better thn we currently are doing we will have to determine if our house is on fire and if it is...DON'T PICK UP THE PHONE!
