Hello everyone! I know, I know, I'm late with this by like nearly a week, but as you all know, I've been incredibly busy with my newborn son Ryan. I honestly forgot how much energy a newborn takes out of you in the first few months of their lives. Anyway, I have a little bit of time to be able to write out the newsletter of what's been going on with JSP as of late.
Even though my progress with stories and books has slowed considerably, I was able to get quite a bit done before I had Ryan on Thursday. For example, I read through and edited an awesome horror novel called "Mausoleum" by Mark D. Chevalier. It's about a confederate soldier from the Civil war time who found himself "cursed" with the gift of eternal life. But even eternity has its price. As the story unfolds, one of the main characters in the book finds himself tied to the confederate soldier in an inexplicable manner. It really was a great story to read. I still have yet to write up the back summary and send it off to Cin but other than that, everything is pretty much finished with it.
Also I began working on a book called "Fantasy: A Tale of Dual Souls." From what I've read thus far, it's about a young teenage boy who experiences blackout periods and during those times, he finds himself in an alternate reality where he's a young warrior in a land fancied from the imagination. Other than the grammar and spelling problems that need tweaking, it's an interesting story.
Plus I've done edits for Dawn Olexa's book "A Mother's Sacrifice." It's about a woman who strives to try and protect her newborn son from her husband and mother-in-law who plan to sacrifice the baby to the Gods in order to bring the family good fortune and luck. I liked this story and even though it's a short novel, it's still a good addition to JSP.
And on top of all of those things, I've been trying to work on the prologue for my 6th novel in progress called "The Imp Chronicles: Vlad Tepes." The prologue is detailing the background of an evil Imp named Glockin who helps his Master to collect the souls of those who have led deceitful and atrocious lives. Chapter one will start in with Glockin telling the story of Vlad the Impaler. I'm looking forward to finishing up the prologue and I hope that I will have it up here shortly for everyone to read.
Also I'd like to announce that our official website is launched and it's live. However, there are still a few links that aren't finished on there as of yet but Michael is working on it in his spare time. You can find all information about what we're doing at: www.jadedsilencepress.com
So check it out folks!! That's it for me this week!
Keep writing!
Pauline
