My Secret Place
I have a secret place i go to at least once a week. I discovered it while walking one day. You have to look hard to see it, its off the beaten path. The water bubbles up from the cayon floor and runs into a pool. A soft water fall flows over the rocks spilling into the pool below. Trees surround it and jut up from the shore. I found a flat rock to sit on and marveled at the rays of the sun as it shines through the trees sending shadows against the waters edge. I smell the sweet smell of the water and the scent of the trees. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom as small bass swim in the shade. The land is untouched and pure and I can't help sit here and feel the presence of god's paint bursh at work. I'm not sure anyone knows its here and I have yet to see anyone there whenever I visit. For now its just my secret place to come to whenever I need to shut the world out and bask in the beauty.

| I think most of us have a secret or quiet mostly unused place to go for quiteness and a time of reflection. I don't think I could always be surrounded by people, I retreat to my room lots, just to think and adjust, then come out and go outside again. Yours sounds delightfully with the water and all. Glad you find peace somewhere in this world. |
