What the audience thought was going to be humorous, became something they would never forget.

One of the most magical moments on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson happened in 1981 when Jimmy Stewart read a poem about his dog, Beau. What the audience thought was going to be humorous, became something they would never forget. Most visibly touched was Johnny Carson, himself.
