Judy wanted so badly to attend her "20th "Class Reunion at Port Chester High School in the summer of 2007. Judy's wish did not come true .
As submitted by Judy's bestfriend, Michelle Carter Summa., Michelle writes to the class:
As we gather to celebrate our 20th year high school class reunion, we will share many joyful memories of days gone by. It will also be a time to catch-up and learn how our lives have unfolded in the last twenty years. Certainly, we wil tell many happy stories of family, friends, travel and careers.
However, we will also learn of the passing of several classmates and although these individuals will not be present, they will be with us in spirit.. So it is with profound sadness that I share with you the loss of our fellow classmate, Judy O'Neill(Cenname) As you may remember, Judy and I were best friends. Judy passed away on February 4, 2004 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. It was was Judy's dream to have a family and she leaves behind a husband Frank, daughter Alyssa (now 13) and Frank Jr. (now 12). During Judy's heroic fight, she kept journals of her struggles. It was her goal to write a book to share and help others who were battling cancer. Shortly after her passing, her mother fulfilled her wish and spearheaded the project of having her writings published. We had hope to sell many books so that proceeds from the book titled "Judy's Fight" would be used to send her children to college.
