I hope this article will not be confusing, and I hope it will create interest. You will notice reference to other articles to come as I want to describe the fun side to this work. The tone of this article is a little more serious than I expected, but that is part of being an empath and medium when recollecting moments and situations from the past.
Are You an Empath? Part II
Exercise 2.: the world at large.
This one is more complicated than Part I as it involves everyone, and it works from a visual point of view.
Start by going to public places, such as washrooms, elevators, where people are at their most introspective, and subsequently looking for answers.
You need to remember, however, a cardinal rule of energy work is in knowing when a person is in need of help, and when to stay out of their business. I find if a person is easy to read, and I am made aware of them, then the person is in need of help (Remote healing to be covered in another article). If they were not looking for help, or the universe deemed them as not needing help, then you would not be able --or allowed-- to see their energy.
What to do:
For the sake of practice, sit at a bench in a shopping mall --with a book to not appear conspicuous-- and watch people walking past. When ready, spot a person who will be walking past you. This intent will alert the universe to do its thing. Pretend to read your book until the person walks in your direct view, then without being consipcuous, look at them for a few seconds. Make notes of what you are seeing. If nothing happens, then you were not meant to see anything. Try again with another person.
The Real Thing:
While in a washroom or an elevator, study a person as best you can for a few seconds. How do they cary themselves? Do they seem depressed? Do they act like they need to be somewhere 10 minutes ago? The energy they project will support their behaviour and personality. Once you observe a person for those few seconds, or as long as you can without being weird or obvious about it, ask them for the time or directions. The way they respond will support the energy they project. When a person needs help, I see a cloud representing the issue.
Although the shapes of the clouds --their colours and intensities-- are different for each person, they will be a clear indication of how the person feels about themself. You might think “no kidding,” and I agree. But this exercise will be different than you might think.
The examples provided for the following character types were observations only as the people described were not questioned for confirmation. But the observations were based on the knowledge gained from sessions with past clients and their confirmation as to what the clouds were depicting of their situation. Most of the time, people will exhibit a combination of these characteristics, but one will be the most prominent.
(The material above and additional insights will be made availalbe in a book on advanced techniquesfor empaths some time in the future).
