Become a Fan
Poem about my feelings about my guitar
It has taken me far that guitar
Traveled long dusty roads
Sometimes with friends
More often the the lonely road beckons
Sitting on a curb case open hoping
Singing my soul for a beer or a buck
Never quite finding a home to settle
Always the music calling me elsewhere
Leaving broken hearts in my wake
Never taking a backwards glance
Or at least not too often
Writing my songs on paper towels
Waking in the night with the perfect chord
My guitar is my lover always
It will never break my heart
It speaks to me in all my moods
I can play the blues,or rock out
Classical or folk all with no fault
With my guitar I hide all doubt
My fingers play my guitar like a lovers touch
Playing an audience just a plain rush
That guitar all faithful to the end
Off we go to the next town again
Me and my guitar,my very best friend
Never leaving me until the bitter end
