Who We Really Are

This is taken from a Christian view.

Sometimes it is so hard to love ourselves.

When I focus on this topic I am not

talking about someone who thinks they

are better than everyone else or becomes

absorbed in what they want. In fact it is

just the opposite.I am talking about seeing who we

really are. Not the rolls we play, not the job we have,

not even being a mother or father. I am talking about

something much deeper.I believe within each of us

is the most beautiful light you have ever seen! I see this

light as Jesus. Through Jesus we have a heart that has

more love than we can imagine. Why? Because Jesus

is beating within our heart. We could never love

without him, because Jesus is love.We have courage and

perseverance we might not be aware of. Again, this is a gift

from Jesus ,and the Holy Spirit is very much involved. We have

a hope that can help us through any crisis. Why? Because we know

Jesus is with us. We know this world isn't all there is. Finally, we

are beloved children of God. Can there be any thing more joyful ?!

We have much to be grateful for. What is even better- everyone is a

beloved child of God.No matter what religion, race, culture, etc.So-

when we look at who we are - it's wonderful. Don't you agree?

I believe the only "who we are" that you missed is "who we really are." :) We are spirit beings, having been placed randomly in either a male or female garment. The beauty of this fact is that whatever is done to the flesh is not done to us; we witness the affects to the flesh and the psyche of whatever is done, whether it is love or abuse. From these life experiences, it is God's intent that we learn what it is that pleases Him and what He hates with a "perfect" hate; that we learn to love as He loves and hate with a justified hate the evils of this temporary world. As I recall, I have an article here about this . . . well, it is around the web somewhere. LOL!

You made all the good points of who we are, save that one. From experience, I know it is vital and in sharing that wisdom it has released many from the rage and anger held inside because of abuse. Well done, writer. :)
