Bidding starts soon on Atlantic City's Bader Field

The bidding process to develop Bader Field, a prime parcel a half-mile from Atlantic City's boardwalk, officially begins next week, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The airport is a 150-acre undeveloped tract and
the last, best spot for a new casino project. The New Jersey Local Finance Board cleared the way for preliminary bids, or requests for proposals, on Wednesday, the Inquirer said.

"Bader Field will be officially put out to bid on Tuesday," Atlantic City councilman Dennis Mason told the paper.
