Local Principal's Book Hits Shelves Across America
Publish America of Baltimore, Maryland has announced the release of a new book, "I Lost My Religion" (When I Found Amazing Grace) by Jim Clifford of Okmulgee. The book can be purchased locally at Okmulgee Bible Book and Music Store, 812 E. 6th Street.
"I Lost My Religion" addresses readers who are struggling with unresolved spiritual issues in their adult lives. Some have sought relief in the religious teachings of their youth only to discover they are no longer relevant to their present day situations. As an adult, Jim found himself questioning what he truly believed about God and how he came to believe it. He discovered that many of his beliefs were not truly based upon the word of God, but strongly influenced by the legalistic, religious environment in which he grew up. Receiving a true revelation of God's grace provided Jim with the inner peace he longed for and freed him up to become the person God really intended for him to be. Jim believes his book will assist those who are struggling over what they believe, seeking to know God on a more intimate level, plagued by guilt, or faced with the judgmental attitudes of others.
Clifford is principal at Okmulgee Primary School. His wife, Rosalie, teaches second grade at the Primary School. The Clifford have two grown children and two grandchildren. The Cliffords live southwest of Okmulgee.
Jeremy Clifford designed the cover.
