“The things to look for when hiring a professional writer”

What Are the Red Flags to Look For When Hiring a Professional Writer?

“The things to look for when hiring a professional writer”

Anyone can call themselves a professional writer, but the trick is how to tell the difference between a professional and an amateur writer.

Anytime you hire an outside source to help you professionally write something, a bit of risk is involved. This is why you need to do your homework before you hire the person. Research the writer or company. Type the name of the company or writer in Google and if they’re a scam artist, I assure you someone will tell you in a post on some web site and if they’re good, you’re bound to find a ton of positive posts and recommendations.

If you hire the right writer or writing company, you’ll accomplish your goals and save yourself valuable time and most of all you don’t have to stress yourself. Most people have busy schedules and don’t have the extra time to write a piece and make sure that it sounds great and looks flawless. Like most people, I talk to tell me that they have great ideas, but just don’t know how to put it down on paper. This is why you need a talented writer that knows how to get the job done right.

It’s vital to know how to choose the right writer for your project because if you choose the wrong writer, you could end up wasting time, missing deadlines, falling short of your goals, and suffering diminished credibility in the marketplace.

To avoid choosing the wrong writer you need to know what to look for in a professional writer. Here are some “RED FLAGS” to look for in a good writer. Below are important key qualities to find a professionally writer you can trust and rely on.

  • Expertise - The writer you hire should be an expert at his or her craft. They must be able to write clear, concise, creative, and convincing writing that produces positive results. Every time you put something in writing, your image is on the line. A writer with expertise will enhance your credibility and reputation. An amateur writer can damage your image. Good writing that produces positive results is worth the money because professional writing always will bring outstanding results. Poor writing is worse than no writing at all. Review writing samples so you can be sure you’re investing in a writer who is expert in their field.

  • Good organization – a professional writer or writing company is successful because they are talented at what they do. A skilled professional writer will free up your time so you can focus on what you do best. An inexperienced, disorganized writer will annoy you with meaningless questions and take up your time and energy, not to mention distracts you from priorities that are more important. You should make sure you choose a writer who has the skills and experience to work independently, so you don’t have to waste time looking over their shoulder. You want to be able to trust the writer you hire, and feel confident that the writer will get the job done right and on time. A professional writer will organize your project so you can focus on other more important responsibilities that you need to tend too. They should also be willing to produce drafts for you to review and modify, until you’re completely satisfied with the final product. If they don’t then run! Writing projects are often complex, choose a writer who routinely finishes assignments on time or ahead of schedule. The faster you get the final product in front of your audience, the sooner it will start producing positive results for you Your time is valuable. When hiring a professional writer/editor, don’t skimp. Get more value for your writing by hiring an experienced professional who will save you time by managing your projects efficiently.

  • Creativity – There are tons of writers in the writing community that can do a fair job of putting pen to paper, but far fewer bring a strong creative piece into the writing process, most of the entire finished product. Creative writers usually charge a bit more, but the value they add far exceeds the extra cost. Creativity increases the traffic, interest of the reader and impact.   A good writer will always draw their reader into the topic and leave them yearning for more. Look for a creative writer, not a part-time amateur.

  • Productivity - A productive writer produces a great deal of help at a very reasonable cost. The most productive writer is not the one who charges the lowest fees, but the one who produces the greatest return on investment. Remember to consider hidden costs, such as the cost of your time.  If you have constantly be on top of your writer to make sure the job is done well than it’s not worth hiring the person. This is why so many people choose to pay a few more dollars. It’s less stress and hassle if you hire a professional who knows what they are doing. Don’t put yourself in a stressful situation where you find yourself waste time repeating instructions and correcting mistakes. What if you miss your deadline? How much will that cost you? When choosing a writer remember to focus your goals. Focus on what you want to achieve when the projects finished. Focus on value, not price.

  • Dependability and consistency - look for a professional writer you can rely on to deliver top-quality writing. One who’s going to get the message across clearly? When your deadlines are at stake and your image in on the line, reliability is critical. You can count on a reliable writer to write precisely, edit thoroughly, communicate honestly, display cooperativeness, respond quickly, and communicate with you with a pleasant tone. There goal is to help you accomplish your goals. Remember the results you achieve with a professional writer will go beyond anything you could have accomplished alone or with an inexperienced writer.
