Here’s how it works…
First you come with a screwy noble sounding idea or cause. Something like global warming. Then you get some seed money and set up a 501c. That’s a not for profit corporation. Oh no, that’s not to avoid taxes. That’s just to get access to all that tax payer money the government collects and gives away. Just think, billions of dollars you can use to grow your organization. You can buy advertising to target groups that oppose your screwy ideas. You can pay back your initial investors while at the same time create high paying jobs for your friends. You can buy politicians with under the table donations and at the same time use the people you hired to get your friendly politicians re elected.
But those type of things are forbidden by the IRS? Well, so is not reporting income and not paying your taxes,, but that hasn’t gotten in the way of elected officials such as Charlie Rangel or the Obama appointees, right?
I’m afraid it’s plain and simple, folks,… our tax money is being used to finance our enemies and their campaigns against us. It‘s just like someone suing you with your own money. .
Now I don’t have a problem with not taxing our enemies donations. However, I do have a big problem with politicians giving my tax money to people who wish to take my rights away and control my life. So by all means let churches, charities and other noble causes keep their tax exemptions. But since we don’t allow them to give our tax money to churches (which I am in total in agreement with) then why do we allow our government to give our tax money away to community activists groups and special interests?
I’m afraid it’ simple, my friends: Normal people won’t donate to stupid causes or ideas. Hence, if the cause or idea is good,, the American people will fund it on their own., If an idea or cause is bad, the government funds it with our money..
The first thing our new congress has to do is change that. Tax exemptions are fine, funding with tax dollars NO! The next thing the new congress must do is to put the control of the purse strings back in the hands of tax paying citizens. But can that actually be done, you ask? Let me see…what was her name again? Oh yeah! Sarah Palin…check her out.
