Observations of a senior citizen about what is going on among our people
My Sincere Advice
Do as you said and not as you did
I know the American people
I saw them in battle at war, at work
I saw our soldiers alive and dead
I saw them determined and generous
They are courageous, sincere and honest
These people deserve an honest leadership
Don’t make changes without their knowledge
They elected you because they trusted you
Don’t disappoint them; it is a waste of time
They gave opportunity to the immigrants
And to you and to me to enjoy this freedom
Don’t even try to change their governing system,
Which allowed you and me to be Americans
We came to the United States in pursuit
Of Freedom of Religion, Liberty of Expression,
Freedom to work and to enjoy life without fear
You and I have the same roots which are Africa
That’s why we are here in the United States of America
You are elected as president due to the existing system.
I know what are dictatorships, socialism and communism
Do you know what it means to live under such regimes?
With all due respect, at my age and with my experience
I can see the people oppose the way you want to handle
Their life, be it through healthcare, cap and trade or security
I feel it is my duty to this country and to its people
To speak up, it is not too late to right the wrong
God Bless America and its people.
