"What a really great page turner" says psychotherapist reviewer.
In her published review with Amazon.com, professional psychotherapist
Dr. Kathryn Seifert (of Authorsden.com) makes this comment:
"Compelling Read"
“What a really great page turner.I love mysteries
with forensic angles.Very explicit, true to life story,
not for the faint of heart or children. This is a novel
with heart.”
Publisher's Commentary:
In the novel The Paradise of Revenge, devout young Josefina prays for and awaits her God-sent love
when, tragically, she is brutally raped and traumatized. Driven mentally psychotic by the assault and
disfigurement, she is now seduced by Satan to scheme a wicked revenge on the young son of the man
whom she believes attacked her, while the convicted man's courageous young wife risks her self-respect
and life by going undercover to prove her husband's innocence.
Set in the 1950s and 1960s in San Diego County, California, with a backstory of judicial corruption and
a courthouse crime family, a shocking revelation and heartfelt resolution awaits the reader in the emotion-
driven novel as author Richard Lee Orey presents passion, romance, uncommon courage and a young
woman's quest for God-sent love in a daring story filled with life-changing moments. A captivating read
for mind and heart.
Author Richard Lee Orey is a retired official court reporter of the United States District Court and the
California Superior Court in San Diego. He is currently working on Beyond Innocence, Book II in his
Shadows of Justice series
This is a nice review by Dr. Seifert, and brings back memories of scenes in the book when I read it. I still pick up the book occasionally and scan through the pages. It was indeed an interesting read that kept me turning pages to see what would happen. In addition, as I've told you before, your writing style added an intereting flair as well. Peace and joy to you...
