“Everybody’s Fine!’
Movie Review

Watched this flick last night. Enjoyed it, but ...

Was not what I expected - I thought it was going to be a comedy -
Not so - a drama. Remembering how great DeNiro was in “Meet The Parents” then again, in “Meet The Fokkers” - when I saw the first commercial ad, I just immediately went to Netflix and ordered the film.

I didn’t bother to read the short paragraph of synopsis, which accompanies every movie. My Bad!

Anyway, this is a good movie, with a twisting plot, but at times, it moves slow. Let’s just say that a old guy desires a family reunion, and he goes to long lengths to make it happen.

In the meantime, his adult children are not telling him the truth, but for a very good reason. He eventually figures this out, but does not know the reason.

So as not to spoil the ending, I won’t tell you whether it is happy or sad - but the Ladies might want to have some tissues handy!

The constant string throughout the movie involves a form of communication. In the final analysis, is that not what Life is all about?

On a scale of Ten, I’d give it a Seven or Eight. certainly worth a couple of bucks for rental!

Enjoy! Tom.

Like better Analyze This with Billy Crystal, but I can't take out of my head his taxi driver with a Mohican weirdo hair asking the mirror if it was talking to him...you talking to me? or, you feel lucky today in San Francisco, punk? oh well!!!

Tom, if you want to see a really good movie and do not mind sub-titles get "The Drummer" which is Chinese and/or "Water" which is Indian (East). I love movies but find the small titles or foreign films heads above most American made movies. There is another one that I saw within the last week or so that is Turkish but for the life of me I cannot remember the name.
