Faith without works is dead.

I enjoy going for my morning walk at around five o'clock in the morning. It is a good time to go walking in Austrlia for the morning is still cool and the sun is just peeking above the horizen. The air if full of bird song which is sweet to my ear.
My walk is not just for exercise, but I take the opportunity to have my morning prayer to my father in heaven. Sometimes I talk to Him out loud, while at other time I talk through my thoughts.
I chooose this way because there are times when I wish to point something out to him, like the color of the sky or a particular song of a bird. I talk to Him about the small family owned factories that are on part of my route.
We talk about my life in general, is what I am doing with it acceptable to Him, can I do better, if so how. A still small voice will at times answere, or a feeling within my breast will tell me that all is well. At times I will have a stuper of thought, which I take to mean that He is not about to let me know just then.
We talk about his son, Jesus the Christ and his atoneing sacrifice and the need for it. We, well I mostly talk about the state of the world, about government and relationships with people. About the sick and the afflicted and what I can do to help.
I discuss my callings that I have in the church and how am I doing. If I need help then I ask Him for it, knowing that I first must do all I can to solve any problems I have, for I understand only to well that blessing just do not drop out of heaven unless I have done all I can to bring about those blessings.
Usuall I finish my walk feeling that all is well, and that He is pleased with my efforts, though there are times when I know that He is not and I have to pull my socks up so to speak.
So why do I pray to someone I cannot see, who does not talk to me out load but only through a thought or feeling, why? because I believe he exists as does his son. I believe that He is my father who created me and sent me to earth to proove my worthiness to return into His presence at the end of my life.
Yes there is something to be said for having ones prayer while out walking. I can talk to be best friend that I will ever have, He and his son that is.
